ABOUT US

EMA Education Martial Arts and Sport was founded as an academic initiative at the University of Luxembourg, with the purpose of exploring and strengthening the educational role of martial arts and sport in contemporary society. Today, EMA operates as an independent international organization, guided by core academic principles such as rigor, inclusion, research, and lifelong learning. It functions under a centralized structure and upholds a cohesive institutional vision.

EMA’s primary aim is to restore and reaffirm the foundational values that lie at the heart of both martial arts and sports practice—respect, discipline, self-control, perseverance, personal development, and a strong sense of responsibility. These principles, deeply embedded in Eastern martial arts and universally recognized in the broader world of sport, form the ethical and educational basis of EMA’s identity.

Through a global network of schools, dojos, instructors, and practitioners, EMA promotes an authentic and coherent approach to teaching and training. The organization is committed to recognizing and rewarding individuals and institutions that embody these values in their daily practice, by offering structured pathways for personal and professional growth, institutional recognition, and interdisciplinary exchange.
